Social Code of Conduct
CitySocialising was created to provide a trusted community for genuine, friendly, sociable professionals to connect with a new network of fellow great people to hang out, go out, socialise and make the most of life in their cities with. We've successfully achieved so the 'Socials' that are organised and enjoyed through CitySocialising have the same feeling as going out with a group of friends. Therefore, we ask everyone on board to extend the same courtesy to the CitySocialisers who organise and arrange the fab Socials that we all enjoy by sticking to our simple Social Code of Conduct:
1. Cancellations
If, after booking onto a Social, you find you can't make it, please cancel your place at least 48 hours in advance and contact whoever's hosting it to let them know.
2. Arrive on time
Please make sure you arrive to the Social on time and introduce yourself to the host. Or, if you’re going to be running late just drop them a message to let them know, and feel free to buy them a drink when you get there! (Only joking)
3. No bad behaviour
CitySocialising is all about a laid-back way to meet new friends and we want to keep it that way. No rude, sleazy or out-of-order behaviour. And please don't drink excessively so as to annoy your fellow guests. Please help maintain our great reputation.
Other things to note when attending Socials…
Just say hello
Remember that everyone you meet on a Social is there to meet you too. Simply say hello and introduce yourself to each person and they'll do the same back!
Enjoy
Just relax, enjoy yourself and have fun. And come back to the site afterwards to swap photos and stay in touch with new friends and arrange to socialise again.
What happens if I break the Social Code of Conduct?
As we ask all CitySocialisers to help us look after our community, after a Social we ask all hosts and organisers to check through the list of guests afterwards. Anyone breaking the guidelines 1, 2 and 4 above receive 1 Red Card to their account. Don't worry though as we know that not cancelling your place or turning up late (without telling your host) is unavoidable some times - if you receive a Red Card, successfully booking onto and attending your next Social removes this and clears your account.
But, if you receive 3 Red Cards in a row (i.e. by persistently breaking our Social Code of Conduct) this means that you'll be prevented from booking onto some of the Socials. (When our members and Editors create a Social they have the option to not allow those with more than 3 Red Cards to book onto their Social.)
If you've received 3 Red Cards in a row you can still attend some Socials and if you do, can clear these off one by one by sticking to "the Code". Or, to completely clear your account you can pay a £20 cancellation fee.
